  • Honored with Kavimamani Award(Malaysia) and Tamil Nadu Govt. Book Awards.

 

2. World Sickle Cell Day 2025

  • Date:19 June.
  • Theme:“Global Action, Local Impact: Empowering Communities for Effective Self-Advocacy”.
  • Recognized by UN General Assemblyin 2008.
  • Sickle cell disease: inherited blood disorder affecting red blood cells.

 

3. India–Ukraine Agricultural Cooperation

  • First Joint Working Group (JWG)meeting held virtually on 18 June 2025.
  • Co-chaired by Shri Ajeet Kumar Sahu(India) and  Oksana Osmachko (Ukraine).
  • Focus: food processing, digital agriculture, genome editing, soil mapping, etc.

 

4. Ministry of Panchayati Raj & BHASHINI MoU

  • Signed on 19 June 2025to promote multilingual e-governance.
  • Aims to use AI-driven translation tools.
  • Supports 22 Indian languagesunder Digital India Bhashini.
  • Will enhance rural participation in Panchayati Raj Institutions.

 

5. Padma Bhushan to Ram Bahadur Rai

  • Veteran journalist and IGNCA Trust President.
  • Could not attend Rashtrapati Bhavan; award conferred at IGNCA office.
  • Noted works: Manzil Se Zyada Safar, Shashwat Vidrohi Rajneta, etc.
  • Earlier awarded Padma Shri (2015)Hindi Ratna Samman (2019), and more.

 

6. Annual FASTag Pass & Road Safety Initiatives

  • FASTag Annual Passto be launched on 15 August 2025 for ₹3,000.
  • Covers 200 trips or 1 year, for private vehicles (cars, jeeps, vans).
  • Launch of ANPR-FASTag Barrier-less Tollingand Rajmarg Yatra App.
  • Aim: reduce toll congestionand improve cashless accident treatment.
  • Target: reduce road deaths by 50% by 2030(Stockholm Declaration).

 

7. Mizoram & BHASHINI Division MoU

  • Signed on 18 June 2025in New Delhi.
  • Focus: Promote native Mizo language
  • Workshop “BHASHINI Rajyam” to be held in Aizawl.
  • Enhances AI models, citizen engagement, and inclusive governance.

 

8. PM Modi’s Visit to Croatia

  • First official visit; met Croatian PM Andrej Plenkovićin Zagreb.
  • Signed 4 MoUs: agriculture, cultural exchange (2026–30), science & tech (2025–29), Hindi Chair at University of Zagreb.
  • Gifted reprint of first Sanskrit grammar in Latin (1790)by Filip Vezdin.

 

9. Secretariat Reforms Report – May 2025

  • 22nd monthly reportreleased by DARPG.
  • Scrap disposal revenue: ₹3,163.97 crore(2021–2025), ₹284.84 crore in May.
  • 66,000 filesweeded out, 350,000 sq ft office space freed.
  • 47% filescreated electronically; 40 ministries achieved full e-File adoption.

 

10. Inclusive Education MoU (DEPwD, NIOS, NCERT)

  • Signed to support Divyangjan educationunder NEP 2020 & RPWD Act 2016.
  • Establishment of Special Accredited Institutions (SAIEDs).
  • NIOS: manages academics, exams, certifications.
  • NCERT: revises curriculum for accessibility.
  • Formation of Joint Coordination Committeeto monitor implementation.
