1. SC Directions on Child Trafficking Cases
- SC Bench: Justices JB Pardiwala & R Mahadevan.
- Direction: Complete child trafficking trials within 6 months; hearings must be daily.
- Non-compliance = Contempt of Court(Articles 129 & 215).
- NCRB (2019): 3,466 child trafficking cases.
- Purpose of trafficking: Labour, sexual exploitation, begging, child marriage, etc.
- Relevant Laws: POCSO Act 2012, Bonded Labour Abolition Act 1976, Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act 1956, JJ Act 2015.
2. QNu Labs Launches Q-Shield (World’s First)
- Purpose: Protects critical infrastructure, cryptography management across cloud/on-prem/hybrid.
- Launched: 14 April (World Quantum Day).
- Services: Qosmos, QConnect, QVault, QVerse.
- Part of National Quantum Mission(2023–2031): Goal – develop 50–1000 qubit quantum computers.
3. Archery World Cup 2025 – India’s Performance
- Bronze: Dhiraj Bommadevara(Men’s Individual Recurve), Florida, USA.
- India’s total: 4 medals – 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 2 Bronze.

4. MoU: Ministry of Labour & Swiggy

- Aim: Strengthen gig/logistics sector via National Career Service (NCS)
- NCS Stats: 1.25 Cr job seekers, 40 Lakh employers.
- Swiggy will integrate job opportunities (delivery, logistics, support roles) with NCS.
- Swiggy: Founded 2014, HQ – Bangalore; Services: Instamart, Genie.
5. 15th BRICS Agriculture Ministers Meeting (Brazil)
- Indian Rep: Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
- Date: 17 April 2025.
- Theme: Inclusive & Sustainable Agriculture via Cooperation & Innovation.
- Nations attending: BRICS + Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran.
- Focus: Indo-Brazil cooperation in agriculture, tech, food security.
- BRICS AMM began: 2010 | 14th meet in 2024 (Moscow).
6. Himachal Pradesh Foundation Day (78th)
- Date: 15 April 1948– formation by merging 30 princely states.
- 2025 Venue: Pangi Valley, Chamba (first time).
- CM: Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu; Governor: Shiv Pratap Shukla.
- Capitals: Shimla (Summer), Dharamshala (Winter).

7. Congo Flood Crisis
- Affected: Kinshasa, Tanganyika, South Kivu.
- Kinshasa: Pop. 17 million – highly vulnerable due to unplanned urban growth.
- Causes: Deforestation, urbanization, poor dam construction.
- Mitigation: Levees, zoning, early warnings, reforestation, flood-resistant buildings.
8. Telangana Launches Bhu Bharathi Portal
- Launched by CM Revanth Reddyin Hyderabad.
- Aim: Transparency in land records; issue of Bhudhar Cards.
- Pilot Mandals: Khammam, Mulugu, Kodangal, Kamareddy.
- Statewide rollout: From June 2, 2025.
- Dispute resolution target: By May 1in test areas.
