1. Pharma & Medical Devices Sector – FDI & PLI
- FDI (Apr–Dec 2024): ₹11,888 crore; Total FY25 FDI: ₹19,134.4 crore.
- 13 brownfield FDI proposals approved: ₹7,246.4 crore.
- PLI scheme investment target: ₹3,938.57 crore → Achieved: ₹4,253.92 crore.
- 48 Bulk Drug projects selected, 34 launched for 25 drugs.
2. James Anderson – Knighthood
- Awarded knighthood in Rishi Sunak’s resignation honors list.
- Retired July 2024; 188 Tests, 704 wickets.
- 3rd highest Test wicket-taker; Most for England.
3. Nagaland Solar Mission
- Launched 14 April 2025 by CM Neiphiu Rio.
- Part of PM Surya Ghar Scheme.
- Subsidy: Up to 96% (2 kW), 85% (3 kW).
- ₹10 crore allocated in FY 2025–26.
4. PM Modi’s Visit to Haryana (14 April)
- Laid foundation of 800 MW power unit (₹8,469 crore).
- Gobar Dhan plant (₹90 crore), Rewari Bypass (₹1,069 crore).
- New Maharaja Agrasen Airport terminal; flagged off flight to Ayodhya.
5. First All-Women Space Tourist Flight
- 14 April: Blue Origin’s 11th mission (NS-31).
- 6 women onboard incl. Katy Perry.
- Suborbital flight beyond Kármán line; lasted ~10 minutes.
- First all-women flight since 1963.
6. Draft Gas Meter Regulations
- Fall under Legal Metrology Rules, 2011.
- Mandatory verification, stamping, and periodic re-verification.
- Aim: Accurate billing, reduce disputes, align with global standards.
7. Russia Supports India’s UNSC Bid
- On 78th anniversary of Indo-Russia ties.
- Two summits held in 2024 (Modi–Putin).
- Trade crossed $60 billion; cooperation in defense, nuclear, space.
- Supports multipolar world, Global South representation.
8. Telangana Implements SC Categorisation Act, 2025
- First Indian state to do so.
- Implemented on Ambedkar Jayanti.
- SCs split into 3 categories for fairer reservation.
- Affects education, jobs, political representation.
