1. World Accreditation Day 2025 (June 9)
- Organised by QCI at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
- Theme: “Accreditation: Empowering SMEs”.
- NABL portal upgraded to support digital access.
- Initiative launched: “Gunvatta Samarpan”.
2. Greater Flamingo Sanctuary – Dhanushkodi (TN)
- Located in Gulf of Mannar Biosphere Reserve.
- Area: 7 hectares, a key migratory bird site.
- Will boost eco-tourism and bird conservation.
3. 29th FSDC Meeting – Mumbai
- Chaired by FM Nirmala Sitharaman(June 10).
- Focus: Cybersecurity, macro-financial stability, and KYC reforms.
- Discussed reducing unclaimed assets & boosting financial access.
4. Justice Sanjay Gowda – Gujarat HC
- Sworn in on June 9.
- Transferred from Karnataka HC; judge since 2019.
5. SBI Dividend to Govt – ₹8,076.84 Cr (FY25)
- ₹15.90/share dividend announced.
- FY25 Net profit: ₹70,901 crore(16% growth).
6. Delhi School Fee Ordinance Approved
- Based on 2025 Bill to regulate school fees.
- Aimed at transparency& preventing arbitrary hikes.
- Over 600 schools found non-compliant.
7. UNOC3: Blue NDC Challenge Launched
- By France & Brazilat UN Ocean Conference (Nice, France).
- Aim: Include ocean in climate plans(NDCs).
- 8 countries joined (incl. Australia, Kenya, Seychelles).
8. MS Dhoni Inducted into ICC Hall of Fame
- One of 7 inducteesin 2025.
- First Indian wicketkeeper in Hall of Fame.
- Career: 538 matches, 17,266 runs, 829 dismissals.
9. India’s First E-Waste Eco Park – Delhi
- Location: Holambi Kalan, Area: 4 acres.
- Capacity: 51,000 MT/year, ₹150 Cr investment.
- Will recycle 25% of Delhi’s e-waste.
10. Indian CapEx to Rise – S&P Report
- Estimated at $800–850 billion(next 5 years).
- 75% in renewables, also in aviation & green hydrogen.
- Funded via internal cash & domestic sources.
