  • India, along with 27 other countries and the European Union have signed world’s first agreement on artificial intelligence (AI) safety at a meeting in the United Kingdom.

  • Researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay have created carbon nanoflorets that can efficiently convert sunlight into heat.
  • Carbon nanoflorets are a unique nanostructure composed of carbon atoms arranged in a distinctive floret-like morphology.
  • They have a high surface area.

 

8) Reetika Hooda 1st Indian To Become U23 Womens World Champion

  • India’s Reetika Hooda scripted history as she became the first-ever Under-23 woman wrestling world champion from the country.
  • Overall, she is the second Indian to win a gold medal at the U23 Wrestling World Championships.
  • Reetika defeated USA’s former U20 world champion Kennedy Blades 9-2 in an action-packed 76kg final.

 

9) Swimmer Nina Venkatesh wins her fourth gold

  • Karnataka swimmer Nina Venkatesh won the women’s 50m butterfly event for her fourth gold medal while Virdhawal Khade did the double, adding the men’s 50m butterfly yellow metal to his kitty, at the 37th National Games.
  • Nina stopped the clock on 27.70 seconds to win the gold with a Games record time.
  • Virdhawal, had won the 50m freestyle gold, with a new Games record time of 24.60s.

 

10) NSDCI and EFS Facilities Services Group Ink MOU

  • National Skill Development Corporation of India and EFS Facilities Services Group (EFS), a Facilities Management Firm based in the UAE, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote Skilled International Workforce Mobility (IWM) for Indian nationals, with a specific focus on the GCC countries.
  • NSDCI and EFS will jointly develop courses for the Skill India Digital App.

  • Mohammadi was awarded the top prize in October for her efforts against the oppression of women in Iran.
