1) National Thermal Engineer Day: 24 July
- Every year July 24 is observed as National Thermal Engineers Day to celebrate the contribution of thermal engineers.
- National Thermal Engineer Day was established in 2014 by thermal engineers at Advanced Thermal Solutions, Inc (ATS).
- Thermal management is essential to ensure the efficient operation of electronic components and prevent overheating.
2) National Broadcasting Day: 23July
- National Broadcasting Day is observed on July 23 every year in India.
- The day marks the start of organised radio broadcasts in the country by All India Radio.
- On July 23, 1927, the India Broadcasting Company came into existence and became the first radio company in India.
- The famous Akashvani tune was composed by Indian Jewish refugee Walter Kauffman in 1930.
3) Rakesh & Sarita win India’s 1st gold at World Para Archery Tournament
- Indian para-archers won three medals at the World Archery Para Championships 2023 and secured six quota places for the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
- Sarita and Rakesh Kumar won India’s first-ever gold medal in the World Archery Para Championships in the compound mixed team open event.
- Sheetal Devi won a silver medal in the women’s compound, becoming the first female armless archer to do so.
4) Chhattisgarh signs MOU with Tata Technologies to transform ITIs
- The Chhattisgarh government signed an MoU with Tata Technologies to transform 36 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIS) into Industry 4.0 Technology Hubs.
- The ITIs will offer six new trades and 23 new short-term courses with state-of-the-art technical workshops and trainer arrangements.
- Tata Technologies will provide placement opportunities to the skilled youth of Chhattisgarh.
5) UP Govt starts 10-day campaign to ensure safety, respect of women
- The state government of Uttar Pradesh has launched a 10-day campaign to empower women of the state.
- The campaign is being led by the Women and Child Safety Organization on the instruction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
- The aim of the campaign is to ensure the safety, respect, and self-reliance of women in Uttar Pradesh.
- The campaign will be held between the 21st and 30th of every month.
