1) Stemrobo partners with AIC IIT Delhi
- STEMROBO Technologies has announced the launch of a Tech Entrepreneurship Program in association with AIC IIT Delhi for 8-18 years of age group.
- This program is focused on embedding skills like Robotics,3D printing, the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Coding, and Blockchain.
- Students will participate in 64 hours of live online and live offline sessions.
2) Syngenta India launches Biodiversity Sensor Project with IIT Ropar
Syngenta India has announced a launch. of Biodiversity Sensor Project, a biodiversity monitoring technology in association with IIT Ropar.
Syngenta also flagged off India’s first Drone Yatra, that will travel 10,000 kms to create awareness on drone spraying among 10,000 farmers.
The Yatra will travel to 13 states to demonstrate and educate farmers on use of drones.
3) MHA website tops among central ministry services portals
The website of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has been ranked first under the Central Ministries Portal in National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment.
The Digital Police portal of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) was placed at the second number.
This is a periodic assessment intended to improve the effectiveness of the government in delivering online services to citizens.
4) World Athletics Championships 2022 begins in Eugene
- The 2022 World Athletics Championships began in Eugene city of Oregon state of US on 15 July ’22.
- The 2022 Championships is the 18th edition & the US is hosting the event for the 1st time.
- The 10-day grand sporting event will host 2,000 athletes representing more than 200 nations & will continue till 24 July.
- For India, Olympic javelin champion Neeraj Chopra will lead the country’s charge.
5) IIT Madras tops India Rankings 2022, IISC-Bengaluru bags second spot
- IIT Madras has emerged as the best educational institution while Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru is best university in India Rankings-2022 which were released by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi on 15 July 2022.
- IIM, Ahmedabad is the best management institute in the country followed by IIM, Bangalore, and IIM, Calcutta.
- AIIMS, New Delhi is the best medical college.
6) CCEA has approved Taranga Hill-Ambaji-Abu road
- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the construction of the Taranga Hill-Ambaji- Abu Road new rail line to be constructed by the Ministry of Railways at an estimated cost of Rs 2798.16 crore.
- The total length of the new rail line will be 116.65 km and is expected to be completed in 2026-27.
7) NHA commences the first Hackathon under the ‘ABDM Hackathon Series’
- The National Health Authority (NHA) commenced its first hackathon under the ‘Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission Hackathon Series’ on 14 July 2022 in Pune, Maharashtra.
- This hackathon is focused on mobilising the health startup ecosystem in India.
- It was inaugurated by Dr R.S. Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of NHA.
- This hackathon will continue till 17 July 2022.
8) First E-Waste Eco Park in India to be built in Delhi
- The Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC), which is the project’s implementing agency, had been constituted as part of an 11-member steering group.
- Just 5% of the e-waste created in Delhi is adequately recycled, which accounts for over 2 lakh tonnes of the nation’s annual production of electronic garbage.

9) Varanasi to be 1st ‘cultural and tourism capital’ of SCO
- Varanasi will be the first city in Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) region to be granted the rotating title of ‘Cultural & Tourism capital of SCO!
- It will be made the Capital for 2022-23 under a new rotating initiative by the SCO to promote people-to-people contacts and tourism among the member states.

10) Joy Bhattacharjya appointed Dir Gen Federation of FIFS
- The Federation of Indian Fantasy Sports (FIFS) has announced the appointment of Joy Bhattacharjya as its director general.
- Bhattacharjya is the CEO of the Prime Volleyball League and is a cricket analyst.
- The Federation of Indian Fantasy Sports (FIFS), was established to protect consumer interest and create standardised best practices in the Fantasy Sports industry.
11) Delhi University’s Miranda House retains top slot in NIRF college rank
- National Institute Ranking Framework, NIRF Colleges Ranking 2022 have been released online on July 15, 2022 by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
- Miranda House outshined all colleges to get the top spot.
- Hindu College was ranked second while Presidency College was ranked third.
- Lady Shri Ram College was ranked fifth.
12) Airtel completes India’s first 5G private network trial at Bosch unit
- Bharti Airtel completed a successful trial of the country’s first 5G private network at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ facility at Bengaluru on 14 July 2022.
- Airtel’s on-premise 5G captive private network was built over the trial spectrum allocated by the Department of Telecom (DOT).
- In 2021, Airtel also demonstrated India’s first rural 5G trial in the Bhaipur Bramanan village of Delhi-NCR.
13) Samsung develops world’s fastest graphics DRAM chip
- South Korean tech giant Samsung has developed a new graphics dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) chip with a faster speed and improved power efficiency.
- Samsung claims that it is the world’s fastest graphics DRAM chip to ever exist.
- The new DRAM chip can process graphic images at a rate of up to 1.1 terabytes per second.
- It is built on the 10 nm EUV process technology.
