1) 8th edition of 2-day Ladakh Zanskar festival Inaugurated
- Commissioner Secretary Tourism & Culture UT Ladakh, Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan, inaugurated the 8th edition of the two-day Ladakh Zanskar Festival-2023 at Padum in Zanskar, Kargil.
- The 8th edition of Zanskar festival began with people in traditional attire and exhibition stalls displaying traditional cuisine, attire, lifestyle, ethnicity and unique Zanskar culture.
2) Unemployment rate drops to 2.6 per cent in UP
- The state has made unprecedented progress in providing employment to every section of society.
- The state government has provided over 6 lakh government jobs in just 6.5 years, empowering the youth of UP and it is continuously issuing appointment letters to the youth under Mission Rozgar.
- The unemployment rate in Uttar Pradesh was 6.4% in 2017-18 which has decreased to 2.6% n 2022-23.
3) Union Health Minister to inaugurate Nagaland’s First Medical College
- Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya will be on a one-day visit to Nagaland.
- Mandaviya will officially inaugurate the Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (NIMSR), at Phreibagei in Kohima. Dr. Mandaviya will also unveil a monolith marking the occasion.
- NIMSR is the state’s first Medical college.
4) Bihar CM Nitish Kumar launches Rabi Mahabhiyan-2023
- Nitish Kumar launched the Rabi Campaign-2023 and flagged off the campaign chariots to all the districts of the state by showing a green flag.
- This campaign has been launched for the success of Rabi-2023.
- farmers will be informed about the schemes run by the Agriculture Department related to the Rabi season.
- CM Nitish Kumar released a book pertaining to the Rabi Campaign-2023.
5) Nagaland Celebrates Hornbill Festival
- Hornbill Festival is the most prestigious festival in Nagaland
- Hornbill Festival is held annually at the Heritage Village Kisama, Nagaland from December 1 to 10, where the authentic Naga culture and its traditions are adorned by people all around the world
- The year 2024 will mark the 25th year of the Hornbill Festival where people will witness a whole new level of experience and excitement
6) 17th CII Annual Tourism Summit was Inaugurated by Ms. V Vidyavathi
- The inaugural session of the 17th CII Annual Tourism Summit held in Mumbai
- V Vidyavathi said that we should be deliberating on how to reach this goal.
- She also rooted for a true partnership between Industry and Government for the development of tourism.
- The theme of the 17th CII Annual Tourism Summit was ‘Strengthening Tourism through Economic and Green Opportunities’.
7) Piyush Goyal confers National Intellectual Property Awards
- Piyush Goyal conferred the National Intellectual Property Awards at the National Intellectual Property Conference 2023 held in New Delhi.
- India will soon become 3rd largest Economy and GDP in the world.
- He said that India has improved its ranking in the global innovation index from 81st position in 2014 to 40th position today and the goal is to be among the top ten in the world.
8) Parshottam Rupala begins tenth phase of Sagar Parikrama from Chennai
- Union Minister for Fisheries Parshottam Rupala began the tenth phase of Sagar Parikrama from Chennai.
- Sagar Parikrama is one of the ambitious projects of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
- With this Government will provide new equipment to the fishermen to know if they are trespassing into international waters.
- The project would be coordinated with ISRO.
9) Om Birla to hand over P20 Presidency to Parliament of Brazil
- Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will deliver a valedictory address, on the concluding day of the Ninth G20 Parliamentary Speakers’ Summit (P20) which is being held at Yasho Bhumi in New Delhi.
- Om Birla will hand over the P20 Presidency to the Parliament of Brazil.
- The two-day P20 Summit began yesterday at Yasho Bhoomi in New Delhi which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
10) Ferry service India and Sri Lanka to begin from Today
- The ferry service between India and Sri Lanka will begin from Nagapattinam to Kankesanthurai today.
- it was the dream of people in both countries to have closer ties.
- Srilankan Port was developed at a cost of 600 million in Srilankan money.
- Talaimannar and Rameswaram service would begin soon.

11) Indian Army wins gold medal in Cambrian Patrol 2023 military exercise
- The Indian Army won a gold medal at the Cambrian Patrol Competition 2023 International Military Exercise in Wales, UK.
- A team from 3/5 Gorkha Rifles (Frontier Force) represented the Indian Army at the prestigious Cambrian Patrol Exercise in Wales, UK, the Army said.
- The Indian Army team participated in the event and competed against a total of 111 teams.
12) Department of Water Resources, launches 5th National Water Awards 2023
- The Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation under the Ministry of Jal Shakti has launched the 5th National Water Awards 2023 on the Rashtriya Puraskar portal.
- All the applications for the awards will be received through the online portal till 15th December.
- The best state and best district winners will be felicitated with a trophy and citation.
