3) World Milk Day: 1 June
- World Milk Day is celebrated every year on 1 June to celebrate dairy’s vital role in global food systems.
- It is an international day established by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the UN to recognize the importance of milk as a global food.
- It has been observed on June 1 each year since 2001.
- The 2023 year’s theme is “Enjoy Dairy”.
4) Ajay Yadav assumes charge as SECI Managing Director
- Ajay Yadav, on 31 May 2023, taken over as the Managing Director of Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI).
- SECI is a Miniratna Category-l Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) established in 2011.
- SECI is the primary implementing agency for renewable energy schemes and projects under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India.
5) Know About: Indian Navy
- The Indian Navy is the maritime branch of the Indian Armed Forces and operates as a blue-water navy.

6) MH60R helicopter makes maiden landing on INS Vikrant
- The Indian Nav’s MH-60 ‘Romeo’ multi-mission helicopter landed on the indigenously-built aircraft carrier INS Vikrant.
- MH-60R helicopter manufactured by Lockheed Martin Corporation is an all-weather helicopter designed to support multiple missions with state-of-the-art avionics and sensors.
- It is known for its exceptional surveillance, anti-shipping, and Search and Rescue capabilities.
7) Suriname to host Indian energy majors from 19 June
- The South American nation of Suriname is going to host an oil and gas conference, ‘Indian Energy Majors’ from June 19 to 23 in hopes of attracting energy companies, particularly from India.
- Suriname is thought to have at least 3-4 billion barrels of oil reserves which were discovered in recent years.
- India imports roughly 85% of its crude oil requirements from abroad.
