1. Felix Baumgartner Dies (17 July 2025)

  • Austrian base jumper and skydiver.
  • Known for 2012 stratospheric jump from 24 miles above Earth.
  • Set world records for highest freefall and fastest descent without mechanical propulsion.
  • Died at 56 in a paragliding crash in Porto Sant’Elpidio, Italy.

2. US Declares TRF a Terrorist Organization

  • The Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy of Lashkar-e-Taiba, declared a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the US.
  • Responsible for Pahalgam attack (April 22) that killed 26 civilians.
  • Announcement made by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
  • Move supports counterterrorism and global security.

3. IICT Campus Inaugurated in Mumbai (18 July)

  • First campus of Indian Institute of Creative Technology
  • Offers training in animation, gaming, XR, VFX, etc.

4. India’s First Tribal Genome Project (Gujarat)

6. India Wins 4 Medals at 57th International Chemistry Olympiad

  • Event held in Dubai (5–14 July 2025).
  • 2 Golds: Devesh Pankaj Bhaiya (Maharashtra), Sandeep Kuchi (Telangana).
  • 2 Silvers: Debadatta Priyadarshi (Odisha), Ujjwal Kesari (Delhi).

7. Indian Navy at SIMBEX 2025 (Singapore)

  • Participating in 32nd edition of SIMBEX naval exercise.
  • Ships: INS Delhi, Satpura, Kiltan, Shakti (all Indian-built).

  • Commanded by Rear Admiral Susheel Menon.

8. Bihar Wins U18 Boys’ Rugby Title

10. Indian Open Athletics Meet in Bihar (19 July 2025)
