🌏 India – New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (FTA)

  • One of India’s fastest FTAs with a developed country.
  • Negotiations:
    • Began: 16 March 2025

    • 100% duty-free accessto NZ market for Indian exports
    • India liberalised ~70% tariff lines
    • Sensitive sectors excluded (dairy, sugar, edible oils, onions etc.)
  • Services:
    • Covers 118 services sectors
    • MFN commitments for 139 sub-sectors

    • Post-study work visas:
      • 3 years (STEM)
