• PM Modi inaugurated ₹9,000+ crore development projectsin Aizawl.
• Major sectors: Railways, Roads, Energy, Sports.
• Bairabi–Sairang Railway Line:
  • First railway line in Mizoram.
  • Cost: ₹8,000+ crore, includes 45 tunnels, 55 major, and 88 minor bridges.
  • Rajdhani Expressto connect Aizawl to Delhi.
  • Sairang-Guwahatiand Sairang-Kolkata Express
• Road Projects Laid:
  • Aizawl Bypass (₹500+ crore), Thenzawl–Sialsuk Road, Khankawn–Rongura Road.
  • Chhimtuipui River Bridgeto reduce travel time by 2 hours; boost Kaladan trade.
• Other Inaugurations:
  • Khelo India Indoor Hall, LPG Plant at Mualkhang(30,000 MT capacity).

🔷 Assam

• PM Modi unveiled ₹6,500 crore projectson 14 Sept in Darrang.
• Key Projects:
  • Darrang Medical College, Nursing College, GNM School.
  • Narengi–Kuruwa Bridge (2.9 km), Guwahati Ring Road (118.5 km).
• India’s 1st bamboo-based bio-ethanol plantlaunched in Golaghat.
  • Aims at energy self-sufficiency, promotes clean fuel.
  • Polypropylene unitfoundation laid at refinery site.
• Assam now has 24 medical colleges(up from 6 in 2014).
• Modi emphasized NE as next hub of growth.

🔷 Manipur

• PM launched projects worth ₹17,500+ crore(includes Mizoram).
• In Churachandpur: Projects worth ₹7,300+ crore, Public address.
• In Imphal: Inaugurated projects worth ₹1,200+ crore.
• Development across transport, energy, sports, and connectivity.

• Commemorates adoption of Hindi (Devanagari) as official language on 14 Sept 1949(Article 343).
• Celebrated since 1953.
• Marks Beohar Rajendra Simha’sbirthday (b. 14 Sept 1900), key contributor to Hindi’s adoption.
• World Hindi Day– 10 January.

🔸 Defence Procurement Manual (DPM) 2025

• Approved by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
• Modernizes revenue procurement(₹1 lakh crore this FY).
• Replaces DPM 2009.
• Promotes self-reliance, innovation, participation from MSMEs, start-ups, DPSUs.
• Key Features:
  • Easier prototype rules, limited tendering(up to ₹50 lakh).
  • Relaxed liquidated damagesnorms (0.1% to max 5%).
  • 5-year guaranteed orders, more powers to Competent Financial Authorities.
  • Support for aircraft/naval maintenance (15% growth margin).
