1. PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana & Mission for Self-Reliance in Pulses

• Launched by PM Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
• Mission for Self-Reliance in Pulses:
  • India already self-sufficient in wheat and rice.
  • Focuses on making India self-reliant in pulses.
  • Aims to increase farmers’ incomeand strengthen agriculture.
• PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana:
  • Targeted at 100 low-productivity districts.
  • Promotes crop diversification, better irrigation, and modern storage.
  • Enhances access to creditfor farmers.
• Over 2,100 projectslaunched across Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and Food Processing sectors.

2. SPARK–4.0 by CCRAS (Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences)

• SPARK = Studentship Program for Ayurveda Research Ken.
• For academic year 2025–26; 4th edition of the program.
• 300 BAMS studentsto receive ₹50,000 (₹25,000/month for 2 months).
• Aims to encourage scientific research in Ayurveda.
• Promotes innovation and builds research base in Ayush sector.

3. International Day of the Girl Child – 11 October

• 2025 Theme: “The girl I am, the change I lead: Girls on the frontlines of crisis”.
• Declared by the UN General Assemblyin 2011.
• Highlights issues like education, safety, and rightsof girls.

  • 133 milliongirls are out of school globally.
  • 1 in 4married girls aged 15–19 face partner violence.
  • Girls aged 15–19 more likely to be out of education, employment, or trainingthan boys.

4. Jayaprakash Narayan – 123rd Birth Anniversary (11 October)

• Known as Lok Nayak (JP).
• Born: 11 Oct 1902 | Died: 8 Oct 1979.
• Leader in:
  • Quit India Movement
  • Sarvodaya Movement
  • JP Movement against Indira Gandhi
• Called for “Total Revolution”.
• Awarded Bharat Ratnaposthumously in 1999.

5. Green Hydrogen Hubs

• Recognised under National Green Hydrogen Mission.
• Ports declared as Green Hydrogen Hubs:
  • Deendayal Port(Gujarat)
  • O. Chidambaranar Port(Tamil Nadu)
  • Paradip Port(Odisha)
• Aims to make India a global hub for green hydrogenproduction/export.
• Supports net-zero emissions goal by 2070.
• Hydrogen Valley Innovation Clusters (HVICs) announced on 27 June 2025.

6. India’s First Robotic Kidney Transplant at AIIMS New Delhi

• First robotic kidney transplant by a government hospital.
• Performed by  Virinder Kumar Bansal.
• Benefits:
  • Faster recoverythan open surgery.
  • Lower costcompared to private hospitals.
  • Most patients discharged within one week.

7. Deepika Padukone – India’s First Mental Health Ambassador

• Appointed on World Mental Health Day – 10 October 2025.
• Initiative by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
