✅  1. National Doctors’ Day: 1 July

  • In India, Doctors’ Day is observed every year on July 1.
  • It recognizes the dedication and service of medical professionals and healthcare workers.
  • This date marks the birth and death anniversaries of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy.
  • He was a key figure in advancing the country’s healthcare system.

 

✅  2. Chartered Accountants Day 2025: 1 July

  • Chartered Accountants Day is celebrated every year on 1 July to mark the foundation of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
  • It is celebrated to applaud the contribution of Chartered Accountants in society.
  • This year, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is celebrating its 77th foundation day.

 

✅  3. PM Modi conferred Ghana’s highest civilian honor during a historic state visit.        

  • On 2 July, Ghana’s highest civilian award, Officer of the Order of the Star, was conferred upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi by President John Dramani Mahama in Accra.
  • The award was presented in recognition of Modi’s distinguished global leadership and efforts to strengthen India’s international partnerships.
  • The honor was accepted by Prime Minister Modi on behalf of 1.4 billion Indians and dedicated to the aspirations of India’s youth and cultural legacy.

 

✅  4. Six-year-old Teghbir became the youngest person in the world to climb Mount Elbrus.

  • Teghbir Singh from Punjab set a world record by becoming the youngest person ever to summit Mount Elbrus, the tallest peak in Russia and Europe.
  • The 18,510-foot climb was completed by the six-year-old along with his father, Mr. Sukhinderdeep Singh, between June 20 and June 28.
  • A certificate recognizing Teghbir’s feat was issued by the Mountaineering, Rock Climbing, and Sports Tourism Federation of Russia’s Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.

 

✅  5. Smriti Mandhana created double records in women’s international cricket.

  • Indian opener Smriti Mandhana became the first Indian woman to score centuries in all three formats of international cricket.
  • The milestone was achieved during the first T20I against England in Nottingham, where she scored a 112-run knock off just 62 balls.
  • Mandhana’s innings included 15 boundaries and 3 sixes, striking at a rate of 180.65, setting a high benchmark in women’s T20I performances.

 

✅  6. The RECLAIM, a community engagement and development framework, is set to be launched by the Ministry of Coal.

  • On 4th July, 2025, the Union Minister of Coal and Mines Sh. G. Kishan Reddy will launch the framework.
  • Coal Controller Organisation, under the Ministry of Coal has developed this comprehensive community development framework in collaboration with the Heartfulness Institute.
  • In particular, it is designed for communities affected by mine closure.
  • Mine closure has significant impacts on both landscapes and local livelihoods.

 

✅  7. The Quad strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, 2025.

  • The attack killed 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national.
  • Quad members called for immediate action to hold the perpetrators, planners, and financiers accountable.
  • They urged all UN Member States to cooperate in line with international law and UN Security Council resolutions.
  • The leaders reaffirmed their firm opposition to terrorism in all forms. This included a clear condemnation of cross-border terrorism.

 

✅  8. India’s scheduled commercial banks have improved their financial stability.

  • Gross NPAs dropped to 2.3%, and net NPAs fell to 0.5%.
  • These are the lowest levels seen in several decades.
  • Between March 2024 and March 2025, gross NPAs declined from 2.8% to 2.3%.
  • This reflects stronger asset quality across the banking system.

 

✅  9. Divyanshi Bhowmick created history for India in table tennis. 

  • She won the U-15 Girls’ Singles title at the 29th Asian Youth Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
  • She defeated China’s Zhu Qihi with a 4-2 scoreline in the final.
  • This victory secured her a place in the World Youth Championships.
  • In the semifinals, she overcame China’s Liu Ziling in a tight seven-game match.

 

✅  10. Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Shri C. R. Patil, launched C-FLOOD, a unified flood forecasting system.

  • C-FLOOD is a web-based platform that provides flood forecasts up to two days in advance.
  • It offers detailed flood maps and water level predictions at the village level.
  • The system was jointly developed by C-DAC Pune and the Central Water Commission under the Ministry of Jal Shakti.
  • The launch ceremony took place at Shram Shakti Bhawan, New Delhi.
