  • Jay Shahreceived the award in the Outstanding Achievement

77-ft Bronze Statue of Lord Rama – Goa

3. Defence

Indigenous Hansa-3 NG Trainer Aircraft

  • Production version launched by Union Minister  Jitendra Singhat CSIR-NAL, Bengaluru on 29 November.
  • India’s first all-composite two-seat trainer, designed to reduce dependence on imported trainers.
  • Supports India’s demand for 30,000 pilotsover the next 20 years.
  • ₹150-crore manufacturing unitcoming up at Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, capacity 100 aircraft/year.
  • Reviewed progress of SARAS Mk-2(19-seater light transport aircraft).
  • Inaugurated Iron Bird facilityfor full-system integration of SARAS Mk-2.
  • Launched manufacturing unit for solar-powered High Altitude Platforms(first full-scale flight in 2027).
  • CSIR-NAL partnered to develop a 150-kg loitering-munition UAVusing an indigenous Wankel engine.

 

4. MoUs & Agreements

India – ADB Loan Agreements (Over $800 Million)

  • Three loans signed between Government of Indiaand ADB.
  1. $500 million – Maharashtra
    • For Power Distribution Enhancement & Agricultural Solarization.
  2. $190+ million – Madhya Pradesh
    • For Indore underground metro(8.62 km, 7 stations).
  3. $110 million – Gujarat
    • For Skill Development Programmein high-growth sectors.
  • Additional $1 million technical assistance grantfor Sustainable Wetlands & Fisheries Project in Assam.

India Re-elected to UNESCO Executive Board (2025–29)

  • Announced by the Permanent Delegation of India to UNESCO.
  • Reflects global confidence in India’s multilateral and human-centric development
  • India reaffirmed commitment to supporting UNESCO in education, culture, science, and communication.

World AIDS Day – 1 December 2025

  • Theme: “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response”.
  • First observed in 1988.
  • National observance led by Health Minister J.P. Nadda.
  • India runs nationwide campaigns via NACO.
  • The HIV/AIDS (Prevention & Control) Act, 2017protects the rights of HIV-positive individuals.
  • HIV weakens immunity; AIDSis its most advanced stage.

Saras Aajeevika Food Festival 2025 – New Delhi

  • Inaugurated by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhanat Sunder Nursery (1–9 December).

    • Nearly 300 Lakhpati Didis& SHG women from 25 states.

India at World Skills Asia Competition 2025

  • India secured 8th placein its debut appearance.
  • Won: 1 Silver2 Bronze3 Medallions of Excellence.
  • Competed against 29 nations, across 44 skill categories.

Gene Mutations Linked to Oral Cancer in Women Identified

  • Study by JNCASR BengaluruNIBMG Kalyani, with SDUAHER.
  • Focused on women chewing tobacco-infused betel quid(prevalent in S & NE India).
  • Identified 10 major gene mutationsvia whole-exome sequencing.
  • CASP8and TP53 showed highest mutations.
  • CASP8found as a driver mutation in women.
  • Combination of CASP8 + TP53linked to recurrent cancer.
