- Nationwide celebrations approved by Union Cabinet.
- Composed by Bankimchandra Chatterjiin the 1870s; part of novel Anand Math (1882).
- First sung at INC Session in 1896.
- On Jan 24, 1950, Dr. Rajendra Prasadgave it equal status to Jana Gana Mana.

Green Hydrogen from Biomass – PEDA & IISc MoU
- Signed at 5th International Conference on Bio-Energy Researchin Kapurthala.
- Aim: Produce green hydrogenfrom paddy straw (biomass).
- Key figures: Neelima (PEDA)and S. Dasappa (IISc).
- Supports India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission.
- Will help curb stubble burning, improve air quality, and support rural income.

California Declares Diwali a State Holiday
