1. Sun Pharma Leadership Changes
- Kirti Ganorkarappointed MD of Sun Pharma; effective 1 Sept 2025 for a 5-year term.

2. World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought
- Observed on 17 June
- 2025 Theme: “Restore the land. Unlock the opportunities.”
- Declared by UNGA in 1994.
- Related body: UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).
- 2010–2020: UN Decade for Deserts and the Fight Against Desertification.
3. TRAI Digital Consent Registry Pilot
- Launched by TRAIwith RBI & banks.
- To regulate spam under TCCCPR 2018.
- Focus: Digital Consent Framework& Consumer Protection.
- Pilot run via Regulatory Sandbox.
- Banking sector prioritized due to financial fraud risk.
4. India’s Export Growth (Apr-May 2025)
- Total exports: US$ 142.43 billion(+5.75% YoY).
- Merchandise: US$ 77.19 billion(+3.07%)
- Services: US$ 65.24 billion(+9.11%)
- Top export items: Electronics (+54.10%), Chemicals (+16%), Marine products (+26.79%), Pharma (+7.38%).
- May 2025 trade deficit: US$ 6.62 billion(improved from US$ 9.35 billion).
- Top export destinations: USA, China, Australia, Russia, Germany.
5. PM Modi Honoured by Cyprus
- Received “Grand Cross of the Order of Makarios III”on 16 June 2025.
- Highest civilian award of Cyprus.
- Award reflects India-Cyprus cooperation in democracy, diplomacy & peace.
6. Blaise Metreweli Appointed MI6 Chief
- First female headof MI6 in 116 years.

9. Defence Cyber Exercise – ‘Cyber Suraksha’
