- Bank was incorporated on March 5, 1907 and commenced its business on August 15, 1907.

- 2019: Government of India announced Amalgamation of Allahabad Bank – a bank with 155 years legacy into Indian Bank.

2) Bank of India – Relationship Beyond Banking
- Bank of India (BOI) is an Indian public sector bankheadquartered in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai.
- Bank of India was founded on 7 September 1906 by a group of eminent businessmen from Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
- The lead promoter of the Bank of India was Sir Sassoon J. David.
- This was also the first post-World War II overseas branch of any Indian bank.

3) Bank of Baroda – India’s International Bank
- Bank of Baroda (BoB) is an Indian public sector bank headquartered in Vadodara, Gujarat.
- The Maharaja of Baroda, Sayajirao Gaekwad III, founded the bank on 20 July 1908 in the princely state of Baroda, in Gujarat.
- On 17 September 2018, the government of India proposed the merger of Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank with the BoB.

4) Indian Overseas Bank – Good people to grow with
- Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) is an Indian public sector bank based in Chennai.
- Founded in February 1937 by M. Ct. M. Chidambaram Chettyar with twin objectives of specialising in foreign exchange business and overseas banking, it has created various milestones in the Indian Banking Sector.

5) Union Bank of India – Good People to Bank With
- Union Bank of India was established on 11th November 1919 with its headquarters in Mumbai. It was promoted by Seth Sitaram Poddar.
- The Head Office building of the Bank in Mumbaiwas inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the nation, in the year 1921.
- On 1st April 2020, Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank were amalgamated into Union Bank of India.

6) Bank of Maharashtra – One Family One Bank
- Bank of Maharashtra is an Indian public sector bank headquartered in Pune.
- It has the largest network of branches of any nationalised bank in the state of Maharashtra.
- The bank was founded by V.G.Kale and D. K. Sathe in Pune.
- The bank was registered on 16 September 1935 with an authorized capital of US$1 million and became operational on 8 February 1936.

7) Canara Bank – Together We Can
- Canara Bank is an Indian public sector bank based in Bangalore, India.
- Established in 1906 at Mangalore by Ammembal Subba Rao Pai.
- In 1996, Canara Bank became the first Indian Bank to get ISO certification for “Total Branch Banking” for its Seshadripuram branch in Bangalore.
- 1 April 2020: Syndicate Bank merged with Canara Bank.

8) Punjab and Sind Bank – Where Service Is A Way Of Life
- It was in the year 24 June 1908, when a humble idea to uplift the poorest of poor of the land culminated in the birth of Punjab & Sind Bank with the far-sighted vision of luminaries like Bhai Vir Singh, Sir Sunder Singh Majitha and Sardar Tarlochan Singh.

9) State Bank of India – Pure Banking, Nothing Else
- SBI is the biggest bank in India currently.
- Founded in 1806 as Bank of Calcutta, renamed Bank of Bengal in 1809, merged with Bank of Madras and Bank of Bombay.
- On 1 July 1955, the Imperial Bank of India became the SBI.
- Headquarters:
- Current Chairman:Dinesh Kumar Khara.
- John Mathai was the first chairman of SBI.
