1) ISRO’s heaviest rocket LVM3 launched

  • ISRO) launched its first dedicated commercial mission of Launch Vehicle Mark 3 (LVM3) M2 satellite successfully from the Sathish Dhawan Space Centre Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.
  • It places 36 satellites of UK based OneWeb in orbits.
  • Each satellite will complete a full trip around the earth every 109 minutes.
  • The mission will enhance telecommunication and related services.

 

2) Delhi govt.: Diye jalao, patake nahin

  • Delhi government has launched the ‘Diye Jalao, Patake Nahin’ campaign at Central Park in New Delhi.
  • The campaign aims at promoting a quieter and pollution-free Diwali.
  • Delhi CM has already launched his government’s 15-point action plan.
  • GRAP has now been classified under four different stages: Stage I – ‘Poor’; Stage II – ‘Very Poor’; Stage III – ‘Severe’; and Stage IV – ‘Severe Plus’

 

3) Ladakh MP to launch “Main Bhi Subhash” campaign

  • Ladakh MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal launched “Main Bhi Subhash” campaign from Leh.
  • Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose-INA Trust in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture is organizing a series of events on the occasion of Netaji’s 125th Birth Anniversary.
  • This Campaign “Main Bhi Subhash” campaign in every nook and corner will create awareness of Netaji’s contribution in the freedom fight.

 

4) Windergy 2023 to be Held in Chennai

  • The 5th edition of India’s only comprehensive International Trade Fair and Conference, Windergy India 2023 will be held from 4th October to 6th October 2023.
  • The Windergy India 2023 will be organized by the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA) and PDA Ventures Pvt Ltd, the three-day trade fairs and conference will provide a vibrant platform.
  • (IWTMA) was established in 1998.

 

5) Telangana Hyderabadi Haleem bags ‘Most Popular Gl’ award

  • In a rigid competition with more than 15 food items across the country with Geographical Indication (GI) status, Telangana’s Hyderabadi Haleem has won the ‘Most Popular GI’ award.
  • For the first time, GI status was accorded to Hyderabadi Haleem in 2010.
  • Other Telangana items that were accorded Gl tag include Nirmal toys and crafts, Nirmal Paintings, Gadwal sari, and Banaganapalle Mangoes.

7) RPAS Drones

  • The Indian Army is looking to acquire drones and surveillance devices to accurately direct its long-range and high-volume firepower against enemy targets, as per a recent Times of India (TOI) report.'[
  • The Indian Army will reportedly issue an RFP for the procurement of 80 mini remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS).
