1) A striking and unprecedented image of a solar eruption has been captured by NASA and the European Space Agency’s Solar Orbiter spacecraft.

  • It’s the largest solar prominence ever observed in a single image together with the full disc of the sun.

3) Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandviya released Harvard study reports on India’s COVID-19 vaccination programme.

  • These reports are, COVID-19-India’s Vaccine Development Story and India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Administration Journey.
  • The reports focus on manufacturing indigenous vaccines and timely procedures that ensured safe administration of vaccination across the various age groups.

 

4) The Indian Army has acquired ‘mini remotely piloted’ aircraft systems which will further enhance its surveillance capabilities in high-altitude areas.

 

5) The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) released a policy proposal titled as, “Draft India Data Accessibility & Use Policy, 2022”.

  • The policy aims to, “radically transform India’s ability to harness public sector data”.

 

6) Asset management company ITI Mutual Fund has launched ITI Conservative Hybrid Fund, an open-ended hybrid scheme that will invest into an array of high-quality debt instruments and also into leading Nifty50 index stocks.

 

7) Veteran actress Maheshwari Amma, better known by her stage name of KPAC Lalitha who starred in over 500 films primarily in Malayalam cinema, passed away in Kochi. She was 74.

10) Israel successfully tested a new naval air defense system “C-Dome”.
