1) Indian-origin author Manjeet Mann has been shortlisted for her children’s book ‘The Crossing’, a tale of a little girl’s friendship with an Eritrean refugee, for the UK’s prestigious Yoto Carnegie Medal.
2) Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully carried out the ground testing of the newly developed solid booster stage (SS1) for its new launch vehicle Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) at Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota.
3) Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar commissioned Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Saksham, the fifth in the series of 105-metre Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) class, at Goa in the presence of Director General Coast Guard VS Pathania.

6) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated a multi-storey facility for flight control system at Aeronautical Development Establishment built by India’s premier defence research institute DRDO in a record 45 days using in-house technology.

7) Assam’s first woman Finance Minister Ajanta Neog presented her second annual state budget in the state Legislative Assembly.

8) Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented a Rs 1.42-lakh-crore budget for Jammu and Kashmir for the year 2022-23 in Lok Sabha, amid opposition accusations that the government was rushing the proposals through Parliament.

9) Five Indian women boxers grabbed gold medals in the youth competition of the Asian Youth and Junior Boxing Championships in Amman, Jordan.

11) Senior diplomat Pradeep Kumar Rawat assumed as India’s new Ambassador to China.

13) Karnataka IT Minister C N Ashwath Narayan launched India’s first ever digital water data bank ‘AQVERIUM’, formed by AquaKraft Group Ventures.
