1) Aditya L1 successfully undergoes fourth earth-bound manoeuvre
- India’s Aditya L1 spacecraft successfully underwent its fourth earth-bound manoeuvre.
- The space agency used ground stations in Mauritius, Bengaluru, SDSC-SHAR and Port Blair to track the satellite during this operation.
- Aditya-L1 is India’s first space-based mission to study the Sun from a halo orbit.
- The spacecraft is located roughly 1.5 million km from Earth.
2) Haryana State Transport to introduce National Common Mobility Card
- The Haryana State Transport Department has decided to introduce the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) service for the convenience of the people.
- The NCMC card will have complete data of individuals availing of subsidized transport services.
- It will provide instant access to the transport services they are entitled to.
- It will also help in reducing the hassle of carrying multiple cards.
3) TRAI releases draft Registration of Consumer Organisations Regulations
- Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released draft amendments to the Registration of Consumer Organisations Regulations, 2013.
- The amendments will enable TRAI to register national-level consumer organizations with a presence in multiple states/UTs.
- These organizations can assist TRAI in raising awareness about emerging technologies like 5G, AI, IoT, etc.
4) PM Modi dedicates rail projects worth Rs 6350 cr in Chhattisgarh
- PM Narendra Modi dedicated to the nation 4 rail sector projects worth around Rs 6,350 crore in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh.
- The first project is the Chhattisgarh East Rail Project Phase-I and the 3rd rail line between Champa to Jamga.
- The third project is the 3rd rail line between Pendra Road to Anuppur.
- The 4th project is an MGR system connecting Talaipalli Coal Mine to NTPC Lara Power Station.
5) Fitch retains India’s FY24 growth forecast at 6.3 percent
- Fitch Ratings, on 14 September 2023, retained India’s growth forecast for the current fiscal at 6.3 per cent citing economic resilience.
- The Indian economy grew 7.8 per cent in the April-June quarter of the current fiscal on strong services sector activity and robust demand.
- Fitch has also lowered the 2024 world growth forecast by 0.2 percentage point (PP) to 1.9 per cent
6) L&T Finance Recognised Amongst the “Prestigious Brand of India”
- L&T Finance has been recognized as one of the “Prestigious Brands of India” in the Goal Fest Conclave 2023.
- The award evaluated brands based on parameters like Trust, Image, Sustainability, Goodwill, Positioning, Recall, Growth, Reach and Innovation.
- L&T Finance has been rated AAA – the highest credit rating for NBFCs.

7) World Bank to fund Odisha to increase social protection
- World Bank has announced to fund the Odisha government to support its early forecasting systems for improved response to natural disasters and enhance social protection coverage for the poor through digital platforms.
- The Centre has signed an Rs 1,183 crore agreement with the World Bank in July 2023 for the programme and the state government funding is Rs 367 crore.
8) Odisha CM Launches Mukhyamantri Sampoorna Pushti Yojana
- Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the ‘ Mukhyamantri Sampoorna Pushti Yojana ‘ in the state to fulfil the nutritional needs of the mothers, adolescent girls and children
- The CM also launched the ‘Pada Pushti Yojana’.
- Girls between the ages of 15 to 19 years will be provided with nutritional supplements.
- Odisha is the first state in the country to design a nutrition budget for 2020-21.
9) India becomes the 13th nation to issue OIML certificates
- Bharat has become the 13th country worldwide authorized to issue OIML (International Organization of Legal Metrology) Certificates.
- It will allow domestic manufacturers to sell their weighing and measuring instruments in the international market.
- The Department of Consumer Affairs can now issue OIML Pattern Approval certificates, which are mandatory for selling weights and measures.
10) Supreme Court to come under the National Judicial Data Grid platform
- The Supreme Court of India will integrate with the National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG) platform to provide real-time information on the pendency and disposal of cases.
- The NJDG is an online database that contains records of orders, judgments, and case details from district, as well as high courts across India.
- The platform serves as a source of information on legal proceedings.
11) AP Governor presents Gadicherla Award to Mandali Buddha Prasad
- Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer presented the Gadicherla Award 2023 to Mandali Buddha Prasad, former Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Official Language Commission at Krishna University in Machilipatnam.
- Gadicherla Harisarvottam Rao was a freedom fighter and social worker from Andhra Pradesh.
- Every year Gadicherla Foundation awards people related to the social field.
12) PM lays foundation stone of projects worth Rs 50000 cr in Bina, MP
- The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of 10 news development projects worth more than Rs. 50,700 crore in Bina, Madhya Prades.
- The projects include the Petrochemical Complex at Bina Refinery, a Power and Renewable Energy Manufacturing Zone in Narmadapuram district; two IT parks in Indore; a Mega Industrial Park in Ratlam; and 6 new industrial areas across Madhya Pradesh.
13) UP govt to kick off Ayushman Bhava campaign from September 17
- The Uttar Pradesh government will launch the Ayushman Bhava campaign on September 17, consisting of five parts.
- The Seva Pakhwada cleanliness campaign will run from September 17 to October 2.
- Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0 will distribute Ayushman cards to all remaining eligible beneficiaries under the PM-JAY scheme.
- Door-to-door e-KYC and card delivery facilities will be available
14) West Bengal signs MOU with Spain’s La Liga to develop football
- The Government of West Bengal and Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (LALIGA) have signed an MOU to enhance the game of football in India and Spain through mutual collaborations.
- A new football academy will be established in West Bengal as part of the collaboration.
- The MOU between the Government of West Bengal and LALIGA aims to bring football closer to passionate fans and make history.
15) Engineers’ Day: 15 September
- National Engineers’ Day is celebrated in India every year on September 15 to honour Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, a renowned Indian engineer.
- The theme for National Engineers’ Day 2023 is ‘Engineering for a sustainable future’.
- Sir Visvesvaraya was instrumental in the development of dams, irrigation networks, and other projects that influenced the growth of India’s infrastructure.
16) Swiggy partners with Goa govt to launch ‘Chavath e-Bazaar-2023’
- Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant launched the Goa Chavath e-Bazaar, listing products by local women entrepreneurs and self-help groups on Swiggy Minis.
- Swiggy has entered into an agreement with the Goa government to launch Chavath e-Bazaar on Swiggy Minis.
- The partnership aims to grant online access to local entrepreneurs and expand their customer base during the festive season.
17) Divya Kala Mela to be held from September 15-24 at Varanasi
- The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities is organizing a unique event called ‘Divya Kala Mela’ to showcase the products and craftsmanship of Divyang artisans.
- The event will take place in Varanasi from 15-24 September 2023 and will feature vibrant products from various parts of the country.
- The initiative is aimed at promoting the economic empowerment of PwD/Divyangjan.
