1) The Union Minister of Ayush and Ports, Shipping & Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the International Conference on “Diet and Nutrition in Unani Medicine for Good health & well-being” in Srinagar.
2) The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is organising a special programme for school children called “YUva VIgyani KAryakram” (YUVIKA) or “Young Scientist Programme” to impart basic knowledge on space technology, space science and space applications to young students, especially for those from rural areas.
3) Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen made a stunning comeback in the third and final game against reigning Olympic Gold medallist and World No.1 Viktor Axelsen to win the match and enter the final of the German Open Super 300 here at the Westenergie Sporthalle.
4) World Cup-winning India fast bowler Sreesanth retired from all forms of domestic cricket.
- Sreesanth played 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20Is for India, picking up 87, 75 and seven wickets respectively.
5) A book titled “On Board: My Years in BCCI”, an autobiographical account of Ratnakar Shetty’s experiences as an administrator.

6) Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter, a quadrupole mass spectrometer onboard Chandrayaan-2 mission, has made the first-of-its-kind observations of the global distribution of Argon-40 in the tenuous lunar exosphere.

7) The government has appointed former finance secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey as chairman of the National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA) for a period of three years.
- Pandey, a 1984-batch Maharashtra cadre IAS officer, retired as revenue secretary in February last year.
- The setting up of the NFRA, envisaged under the Companies Act, 2013, was approved by the Cabinet in May 2018.
8) India and Canada held the fifth Ministerial Dialogue on Trade and Investment (MDTI) in New Delhi and agreed to formally re-launch the negotiations for a proposed free trade agreement, which aims at boosting economic ties between the two countries.
9) The Asansol Division of Indian Railways has successfully commissioned private siding of Maithan Power Limited at Thaparnagar, Jharkhand In pursuance of the Prime Minister’s vision “Gati Shakti”.

10) The union government has appointed former financial services secretary Debasish Panda as chairman of IRDAI (Insurance Regulatory Development Authority of India).
- Debasish Panda, a 1987-batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, retired as financial services secretary in January this year.

11) International Day of Mathematics (IDM) is observed globally on the 14th of March every year.
- The proclamation of March 14 as the International Day of Mathematics was adopted by the Executive Council of UNESCO at its 205th session.

12) The Bihar government will soon launch doorstep delivery of digitized land documents, including khatian and map, in the state.
- ‘Khatian’ is a document for identification of land for determining posession.
