1) History of ICC T20 World Cup
- The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup was first held in 2007 in South Africa.
- India became the first team in history to win both the ODI and T20 World Cups.
- S. Dhoni captained the Men in Blue to victory in this World Cup.
- Final was played between India and Pakistan at the Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg, South Africa.
2) Know About: National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB)
- National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) was established in 2006 as an autonomous organization to enhance fish production and productivity in the country.
- It works under the administrative control of Union Ministry of Fisheries.
- India is the third largest fish-producing country in the world accounting for 7.96% of the global production.

3) National Education Day: 11th November
- National Education Day is celebrated every year on November 11 to mark the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, India’s first education minister after independence (1947-58).
- Maulana Azad was a key architect of the education system of independent India.
- The govt in 2008 declared November 11 as National Education Day.
- Maulana Azad was posthumously awarded Bharat Ratna in 1992.
4) 2021 ICC T20 World Cup: Australia
- Australia defeated New Zealand by eight wickets in the final to clinch their maiden T20 World Cup title in UAE.
- The Australia Team won that match under the captaincy of Aaron Finch.
- Pakistan captain Babar Azam (303) finished as the highest run-getter in the T20 World Cup 2021.
- Sri Lanka spinner Wanindu Hasaranga topped the wickets list, picking 16 wickets in eight matches.
5) Know About: BIMSTEC
- Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) is an international organisation of 7 South Asian & Southeast Asian nations.
- Member countries – Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka & Thailand.

6) Know About: Kiel Canal
- The Kiel Canal is a 98 km long freshwater canal in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein.
- It was finished in 1895 & links the North Sea at Brunsbüttel to the Baltic Sea at Kiel-Holtenau.
- An average of 460 km is saved by using the Kiel Canal instead of going around the Jutland Peninsula.
- It is the world’s most frequented artificial waterway with an annual average of 32,000 ships (90 daily).
7) PM Modi to visit Indonesia for G20 Summit in Bali
- PM Narendra Modi will visit Indonesia from 14th to the 16th of Nov to attend the G20 Summit in Bali.
- During the summit, G20 leaders will deliberate upon key issues of global concern under the Summit’s theme of ‘Recover Together, Recover Stronger!
- At the closing session of the Summit, Indonesian President Joko Widodo will hand over the G20 presidency to PM Narendra Modi.

8) Tashigang: World’s highest polling station in Himachal Pradesh
- In Himachal Pradesh, Tashigang is the world’s highest polling station situated at 15256 feet.
- Tashigang will vote for the first time in assembly election on 12 Nov 2022.
- Tashigang was set up in 2019.
- This remote village is located in Lahaul-Spiti district which falls under the Mandi parliamentary seat.
- Earlier, Hikkim had the status of being the highest polling station.
9) India hosts second Agriculture Ministerial-level meeting of BIMSTEC
- India hosted the 2nd Agriculture Ministerial-level meeting of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical & Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) in New Delhi on 10 Nov 2022.
- It was held under the chairmanship of Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar & Agriculture Ministers of Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Sri Lanka & Thailand participated in the meeting.

10) Uttar Pradesh to host 2023 Khelo India University Games
- Uttar Pradesh will host the 2023 Khelo India
- University Games, the third edition of the event.
- Lucknow will be the main host city for the multi-discipline event in which almost 6000 athletes from all over the country are expected to participate.
- The inaugural edition of the games was held in 2020 in Odisha while Karnataka was the host for the second edition held in 2022.
11) VP to visit Cambodia to attend ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit
- Vice President (VP) Jagdeep Dhankhar will visit Cambodia from 11-13 Nov ’22 to attend the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit & the 17th East Asia Summit.
- Cambodia is hosting these Summits as the current Chair of ASEAN.
- It will be the first foreign visit of VP Dhankhar.
- The year 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of ASEAN-India relations & is being celebrated as the ASEAN-India Friendship Year.
