  • India and Tanzania have initiated trade settlements in their local currencies to promote commerce between the two countries.
  • India-Tanzania bilateral trade stood at USD 6.4 billion in 2022-23.
  • The Reserve Bank of India has cleared the possibility of trade settlements in local currencies.
  • India’s trade with Africa is USD 98 billion, and investments are USD 75 billion.

5) GSTN launches geocoding in all states and UTS

  • The SSLV is a mini-rocket that can put satellites weighing up to 500 kg in a low-earth orbit.
  • The SSLV targets nano and micro-satellites, offering on-demand launch services.
  • The SSLV injected three satellites into a 450-km circular orbit in its successful launch.
